Palouse Farm Country, Eastern Washington State

Rapeseed (canola) Fields near Palouse, Washington State

I drove over to the Palouse area of Eastern Washington to photograph the enormous wheat fields. The rolling hills at sunrise and sunset can make for some very dramatic photographs. The area reminded me very much of Tuscany, Italy. I drove along the Palouse Scenic Byway to Pullman, Palouse, LaCrosse, Dusty and Albion, exiting the Byway when I saw interesting gravel roads to follow. It was down these very dusty roads that I got my best shots including the rapeseed (canola) field above. This area deserves a lot more of my time and I will definitely make a return trip.
